Are you looking for a way of extracting your Google Analytics Data out of Google servers and into your own database, well this is the application for you. Are you a developer and marketing suddenly wants a report that just cant be made with the Google Analytics website, well this is the application for you to. Do you want to display a Dashboard with your Google Analytics data some place in your company, well here is how you can get the data. Google Analytics Extractor is a simple yet powerful console application that quickly and simply gets your Google Analytics data. Data is output in comma separate format directly to the screen simply supply a normal output command to have it sent to a file. By creating a bat file to run multiple requests supplying an output file you can set this to as a scheduled task. See examples below.

Supports Standard dimensions and metrics, as well as Real-time dimensions and metrics. Note: Standard and Real-time meta-data cannot be mixed.

Advanced features supports

Filters, sorting, segments. (Does not work with Real-time)

Start and end dates also support, yesterday , today and NdaysAgo. This makes it easier to automate Google Analytics Extractor, set it up to run every day and get yesterdays data, or data for the last week.

Authentication

The directory containing your authentication code should be in the same directory that your batch file is in. If it is not then you will be prompted to authenticate again.

Data Usage Policy

By granting Google Analytics Extractor access to your Google Analytics account(s), you give the program the necessary permissions to make API calls and queries in order to retrieve your Google Analytic’s data.
Your Google Analytic’s data is stored where you choose to store it, Google Analytics Extractor does not store the data in any place not specified by you the user. The data extracted is for the sole purpose of saving the data for your later use. In the event you no longer wish to use the Google Analytics Extractor simply uninstall the program and revoke our access token to your Google Analytics account.

Logging

By adding –logfile=<filename> a log file will be created giving you detailed information about your request.

Command Description

–StartDate=
Start date for fetching Analytics data. Requests can specify a start date formatted asYYYY-MM-DD, or as a relative date (e.g., today, yesterday, or NdaysAgo where N is a positive integer).

–Enddate=
End date for fetching Analytics data. Request can specify an end date formatted asYYYY-MM-DD, or as a relative date (e.g., today, yesterday, or NdaysAgo where N is a positive integer).

–Metrics
A list of comma-separated metrics, such as ga:sessions,ga:bounces. Documentation help: Standard Dimension Reference Real-time Dimensions Reference

–profileid

The unique table ID of the form ga:XXXX, where XXXX is the Analytics view (profile) ID for which the query will retrieve the data.

–dimensions
A list of comma-separated dimensions for your Analytics data, such as ga:browser,ga:city. Documentation help: Standard Dimension Reference Real-time Dimensions Reference

–sort

A list of comma-separated dimensions and metrics indicating the sorting order and sorting direction for the returned data. The –sort command cannot be used with Real-time dimensions / metrics. Documentation help: Sort reference

–filters
Dimension or metric filters that restrict the data returned for your request. The –filters command cannot be used with Real-time dimensions / metrics. Documentation help: Filters reference

–segments
Segments the data returned for your request. The –segments command cannot be used with Real-time dimensions / metrics. Documentation help: Segment reference

–separator
The column separator is by default a comma, but by adding –separator= you can decide yourself what the system separates each column by.

If what you are filter on has a space ex:New Visitor you need to add a + to join the words. See Example below

You are free to download and use Google Analytics Extractor for your personal use.

You need to be aware of the fact that the Google Analytics API’s have a quota limit of 10,000 requests per view per day. This quota limit can not be extended, once you have reached this limit you will have to wait until the next day to request data again. The application gets the data in the maximum 10,000 row batches. If your request will return more then 10,000 rows then another request is made to get the next batch of data, this continues until all of your data has been retrieved. Each request counts as 1 towards the quota limit.

The Real-time API is currently still in Beta it can break or stop working at any time. If you notice any problems feel free to email me I will try to fix them as soon as I can.
